As long as the deer supply holds out, the mountain lions won't veer from their usual menu.Camera Trap Codgerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11052159376463794204noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8527944689184796366.post-6782772931932257222010-02-20T23:29:11.740-08:002010-02-20T23:29:11.740-08:00Good, no mountain lions or black panthers; maybe I...Good, no mountain lions or black panthers; maybe I'll go hiking up there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8527944689184796366.post-37445082655321852252010-02-13T07:00:11.577-08:002010-02-13T07:00:11.577-08:00Great write-up Chris. Too bad you didn't get any mustelids.

I've gotten western fence lizards on my cams a few times - they have the ability to concentrate their absorbed heat and stay slighter warmer than the air, thus letting them trip the sensor now-and-again.randomtruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01941027847362672057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8527944689184796366.post-33206674034409018102010-02-12T19:22:40.813-08:002010-02-12T19:22:40.813-08:00We do get lizards occasionally, but you are right ...We do get lizards occasionally, but you are right -- the PIR sensor is usually aimed too high.Camera Trap Codgerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11052159376463794204noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8527944689184796366.post-63960699701146730202010-02-12T14:38:51.795-08:002010-02-12T14:38:51.795-08:00I'm curious as to why you never get reptiles o...I'm curious as to why you never get reptiles on your camera traps? I've also noticed too that roadkill skunk are very common in Marin, more so than other species. I'm kind of a roadkill obsessed person, so I notice these things... It's interesting that you didn't capture any skunks at ACR!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8527944689184796366.post-55798734536885778602010-02-11T22:26:44.362-08:002010-02-11T22:26:44.362-08:00Very interesting post.
