The tail wasn't enough

...but was the rest of the meal too much?

I wonder.

When you find half an alligator lizard on the trail, you know the old tail autotomy trick didn't work.

Did the catcher of the luckless lizard lose its appetite or did something scary interrupt its meal?

  1. Hey--I just found your prickly gooseberry story from 2 years ago--I just picked a 1/2 of a 5 gallon bucket, but the berries themselves weren't prickly--just the stems. (Doesn't mean my fingers still aren't sore!)
THe leaves looked exactly the same. Cool Blog! I am going to check it out more later!
