Roadrunner stopped by set 303 at Barrett Creek on December 2 at 1:23 PM.
I wonder if the slightly gaping beak means she had a good jog?
I doubt it was from over eating -- not at this time of year.
Like the bobcat and coyote she posed well for the photo op.
This is California, right? I didn't even know we had Roadrunners here.
ReplyDeleteWe got it all, man! Even roadrunners.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of one of my favorite comic characters. Hey Timecheck
ReplyDeleteI saw a Roadrunner along Cash Creek in Yolo County in the 70's.
Yes, they are also in Glenn county, though not abundant. Birders get pretty jazzed up seeing these northern roadrunners.
ReplyDeleteExcellent addition to the Chimineas collection. One of my fave birds for sure.
ReplyDeleteI'm an old Glenn County guy and I have seen road runners twice in the last 20 years north of Hamilton City. They are fast weather flying or running--the only difference being their altitude and attitude. Such a thrill to see them--good pic.
