What a beautiful picture! Like a sculpture. A little photoshop exposure correction would make it even better, but you're such a purist.

This is still just as much of a "decisive moment" as a mid air pic, maybe even more precious because it usually isn't caught. You really captured the cat's intent, to the point where the viewers imagination "leaps" (couldn't help it) to the next moment. Really lovely image!
"Wow" is all that I can say.
May I ask what you're using as a lure in that spot? I've found nothing that our bobcats have any interest in. They don't even slow down for castoreum (spelling?) or catnip.
KB, Canned tuna, raisins, boiled egg yolk and jam. We were trying to lure in ringtails.
Great shot Chris and maybe even a prize winning photo.
One thing I love about shots like this is remembering that sans camera, it's pitch black there - to us. :)
